The Silent Auction which took place at Cheltenham Racecourse was a huge success. The tent was busy all day with racegoers keen to bag one or some of the amazing 66 lots on offer.  Bidding finished at 6 p.m. with a frenzy of last minute bids – some people had waited until the very end to ensure that they were not outbid on their chosen lots whilst those that couldn’t stay were on the phone to make sure they didn’t miss out! When the final bids were tallied the event raised in excess of £25,500 for Cammpaign4Rob!

We are very grateful to the organisers who worked tirelessly planning the auction; Ros Jones, Sarah Smith, Carolyn Tegg, Lou Purvis and Kate Austen all did an amazing job to ensure the event was such a success.

The Team (L-R): Ros Jones, Sarah MacDonald, Kate Austen, Lynne Hamilton, Hayley Godwin, Lou Purvis, Mel Tegg, Carolyn Tegg, Ian & Gillian Camm, Sarah, Mike & Harriet Smith.

Huge thanks must also go to everyone who donated lots, put in bids, bought lots and came along on the day to offer help and support. Many volunteers & supporters were collared to help with handing out leaflets and catalogues which proved a great way of getting people to visit the stand. Particular thanks must go to Hayley Godwin and Lynne Hamilton who organised and manned the raffle ALL day which in itself raised over £1000. Thanks also to Cheltenham Racecourse for allowing the event on it’s ‘turf’’ and for allocating such an excellent space for the tent.

Well done to everyone involved and thank you all for supporting Rob and his future.
