Helping Rob cope with Tetraplegia

ZUMBATHON – 28 SEPTEMBER 2014

A big thank you to all who took part in the Zumbathon and for supporting Rob. A special thank you to Tina for organising the event who writes:

Learning The Moves

“The Zumbathon got off to a good start with people queuing to get in before the event had even started.

Many people were new to the dance exercise and a little hesitant to begin with but with our expert instructors it didn’t take long to learn the routines.
Interestingly a couple of men chose to come in fancy dress which added a little extra to their Latin moves!
Many people brought cakes and books to sell. So in between the dance breaks we were able to reward ourselves with slices of cake and refreshments.
Three stunning show piece cakes were put up for auction. A big thank you to the ladies who made and donated them.
The Zumbathon was all about raising funds but with emphasis on everyone having fun.
I would like to thank everyone for getting behind this event and making it a success particularly
Natasha and her lovely team of Zumba instructors. Please look up their classes here
We were overwhelmed by your generosity of book donations. What we didn’t sell have been passed onto the Thornbury Rotary book shop. So local charities will benefit from the sale of the books.

I think everyone who came along would agree that it was a fantastic fun filled morning and we managed to raise over £1,200 for Cammpaign 4 Rob”

More details on the upcoming Zumbathon Here.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————–

On Sunday 28 September there will be a Zumbathon Event taking place in Thornbury’s Armstrong Hall.

The event is being organised by friend of the family Tina Dalziel, who’s daughter Ella was at primary school with Rob. Tina was keen to organise an event and as Zumba is something she really enjoys a Zumbathon was the natural choice.

The event will be open to all ages and abilities with the main emphasis being on having fun! There will be plenty of refreshment breaks throughout the 3 hour event, which starts at 10am.

More details to follow but in the meantime hold the date and contact Tina on 07825 325031 for more information.

Good luck with your planning Tina, and thank you for supporting Cammpaign4Rob.
