WOTTON-UNDER-EDGE RFC RUGBY MATCH – 19 APRIL 2014
Wotton-Under-Edge Rugby Club’s match on Saturday was a huge success with a good crowd turning out to watch the game. There was a great atmosphere as around 35 players turned out, giving plenty of opportunity for everyone to get a run out and switch the teams around. Reliable sources claim a win for the blues, the score being “a huge amount” to “a lot”!! Rob made it to the touchline to watch and was presented with a cheque for £200 from Wotton RFC following the match.
After the match everyone relocated to The Star Inn for chilli, chips and a BBQ. As well as the food, The Star also put on some live music and held a raffle. Players and supporters continued to enjoy The Star’s hospitality late into the evening.
The event has raised just over £1000 in total for Cammpaign4Rob. Huge thanks to everyone involved, particularly to Lee Barton for organising the match.
Wotton-Under-Edge RFC are organising a rugby match to raise funds for Cammpaign4Rob. The match will be held on Saturday 19 April at Wotton RFC’s home ground, based at Katharine Lady Berkeley’s School in Wotton.
