Helping Rob cope with Tetraplegia

UNIVERSITY OF YORK’S CHARITY TOURNAMENT – 15 JUNE 2014

The University of York Rugby Club are holding a 10s tournament on 15 June to raise funds for Cammpaign4Rob. Rob was due to start a week of rugby training before beginning his degree at York when his accident happened and the club captain Frazer Kirkley and his fellow students were keen to show their support for Rob.

The event starts at 12.30pm and will include a men’s and women’s tournament (by popular demand) as well as a BBQ. University of York’s different colleges are putting out teams as well as the main Rugby Club. Rob’s teammates from Dursley are also putting a team together to take part, which includes Rob’s cousin Simon Camm, and have already secured sponsorship for their transport to York and for their kit for the tournament.

There is a Facebook Page for the event if you would like to follow their updates.

Good luck to everyone involved in the planning of this event and to all the teams that enter. Thank you for supporting Rob and his future, which will hopefully still include getting his degree.
