Helping Rob cope with Tetraplegia

The big move into the annex

Your place or mine?

Your place or mine?

No removal vans just help from the family to move Rob from his home, through the door in the lounge and into his annex. Whilst there are still some snagging and assistive technology bits to finish it was decided that today was the day for Rob to get the keys to his home. The carers also have their new space which means that Mum and Dad can have their house back!!

The excitement of a busy day moving in was tempered by frustration for Rob at having to direct proceedings rather than actually being able to help with the physical stuff.

It was really good that the plan worked and all Rob’s medical equipment could be secreted away in the specially designed “wardrobe”so that the rooms had the look like any home should rather than a hospital ward.
