Helping Rob cope with Tetraplegia

The last week has been dominated by preparations for changing Rob’s care agency. ICCM have been given notice by the CCG that their contract has come to an end and we had a very good and encouraging meeting with Network Health who will take over Rob’s care. Thankfully the carers who Rob has got on well with will move to Network Health and so there will be some continuity of care and now hopefully backed by leadership and management. It was really important to get this sorted as freshers week at Bristol starts on Sept 22nd and Rob and his carers need a few “dry” runs to check the place out. Along with finally sorting the care package it seems that following repeated form filling we finally have Rob’s student finance and DSA agreed.

Matt Crouch’s fancy dress 21st party was also good practice for freshers week with another 2am home time!!

The rest of the weekend was more restful with time spent working at the computer and a trip to Damesdown to pick blackberrys which were destined for a batch of Blackberry Vodka which is now quietly brewing.
