“I am pleased and so happy to say I completed my half marathon today. It was a beautiful morning with 21,500 runners today. Lots of crowds out and about routing for us all and the atmosphere was incredible! It was a lovely route starting outside Cardiff Castle, down to Cardiff Bay, back up to city centre, then on to Roath Park and around the lake and back down into the city centre. A great run for my first half marathon.

The run started really well for the first 9 miles and then it got really tough with very tired and heavy legs but with the encouragement from the crowds who were shouting my name and the thought of doing this for Rob, all this got me through the last few miles. It was a truly incredible experience and one I am so pleased to have achieved.

I am so pleased and happy to have helped fundraise for Cammpaign4Rob and overwhelmed by the number of people who supported me and donated. A truly worthy cause and I hope this contribution will greatly help Rob for his future”

Many thanks Lisa and your supporters for the wonderful support for Rob in raising over £680 which is very much appreciated. If you would like to add to Lisa’s fundraising you can here

On Sunday 5th October Lisa Wisbey will be running the Cardiff Half Marathon for Cammpaign4Rob. Lisa is a Spanish teacher at Wycliffe college and taught Rob’s younger sister Kirsty Spanish for 3 years.

“I always remember Rob at Wycliffe as being a very good academic student and also a very good sportsman contributing so much to Wycliffe sport, particularly rugby and rowing.
I am doing this run as it is something I have never done before, it’s a challenge for me and it is all aimed for this very worthy cause for a highly motivated and driven individual who has inspired us all in the Wycliffe and local community.
Preparation is going well and hopefully will complete the half marathon successfully on the day.” – Lisa Wisbey
