LEJOG4ROB – ROGER WYN-JONES’ LAND’S END TO JOHN O’GROATS CYCLE – 15 – 27 JUNE 2014
Roger has completed his route! Huge congratulations to Roger and his team for completing such an enormous challenge!
Roger’s Donation Page is still open if you would like to support him and it also provides a full account of his journey, along with plenty of photos.
Huge thanks to Roger for choosing to support Cammpaign4Rob, it is much appreciated by Rob and the whole family.
Roger is now in Scotland!
“Fortunately my bike has survived the first two days of Scottish roads. Fingers crossed for the next four days… We spent much of the ride through Glasgow close to the river and canals, with a security detour to get us around the Commonwealth Games Village. The run into Balloch, Loch Lomond was very gently, but from here we can see the hills that face us tomorrow. Day 10 is billed as the most spectacular in terms of views but we are entering territory where there are fewer and fewer places to stop to replenish supplies, but fast moving traffic on more empty roads. Glen Coe tomorrow evening, all being well and then just three more days to go.”
Rob was delighted to meet up with Roger earlier on the trip and offer his support and thanks before Roger left Gloucestershire to cross the Severn Bridge.
For more updates on Roger’s final 3 days please visit his Donation Page where he is posting updates.
Roger has now got his donation page up and running for Lejog4Rob, please have a look and if you would like to support Roger in his challenge it will be a very much appreciated: Lejog4Rob Donation Page
Roger Wyn-Jones is planning to cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats to raise funds for Cammpaign4Rob.
Roger’s sons, twin brothers Tomos and Gwilym, are friends of Rob’s from his school days. They rowed and played rugby with Rob for many years just as Rob’s father Ian played rugby with Roger several decades ago!
On 15th June Roger will leave Cornwall with a group of friends and start a 12 day cycle to John O’Groats, some 900 miles away. He will be passing through Gloucestershire on day 4 en route from Glastonbury to Hereford.
All donations will go directly to Cammpaign4Rob and a link to the donation page will appear here soon.
Many thanks for your support.
