Christmas at home

Gill’s side of the family descended to make it a houseful of 15, including Rob’s two carers, for Christmas dinner. When one thinks back to lying in Salisbury Spinal Unit last year this certainly shows once again how much progress Rob has made in a relatively short time- Christmas Day 2013 was only Rob’s 3rd day in the spinal unit and pigs in blankets were taken up to Salisbury to try and improve on the hospital Christmas dinner – this year they were cooked under Rob’s watchful eye in his own annex. Whilst it is great to see everyone Rob does get quite tired and needs to take that short break out every now and again to recharge his own batteries. A system that he has mastered as he managed to play poker until 12.30 am ( only for matches!) All in all a great fun day.
